Social Impact

Our commitment to positive social impact

At Winahost, we believe that business success and social responsibility go hand in hand. We work every day to generate value beyond profitability.

Why does it matter to us?

The vacation and temporary rental industry has a significant impact on communities. We have the opportunity and responsibility to make this impact positive, contributing to the sustainable development of the destinations where we operate.

"We want every property we manage to be an example of how tourism can benefit everyone: owners, travelers, and local communities."

    Frequently asked questions

What people actually ask us about our impact.

What equality policies does Winahost have?

Women make up 50% of the Winahost team and hold 50% of leadership positions, with a 0% pay gap. There are also flexible hours, a professional mentoring programme and inclusive hiring processes. Figures confirmed in August 2026.

Can a management company reduce the impact of short-term rentals on a neighbourhood?

Yes. Winahost works with 85% local suppliers and runs cleaning and maintenance from neighbourhood hubs, which cuts travel between properties. Management does not change whether short-term rentals exist, but it does change where that money goes and how much of it circulates in the city — and it grows the neighbourhood’s capacity to develop local commerce.

Which Sustainable Development Goals does Winahost contribute to?

Three of the seventeen: SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities).

What does 85% local suppliers actually mean?

That cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment and supplies are contracted from companies and professionals in the same area as the property. In practice, the operational spend stays in the municipality instead of going to a central provider.
